Following the heritage route connecting the ancient town of Hoi An and the My Son temple complex, cross the old Cau Lau bridge about 300m south, the asphalt road named Hoang Dieu runs along the field. Going about 4km further west, you will see the Au Lac cultural tourist site.

Covering an area of nearly 17,000 square meters, the Au Lac cultural tourist site contains the cultural and historical values of the Go Noi land through a series of wooden sculptures. In addition, an ecological space, countryside, and craft village bring interesting, peaceful, and relaxing emotions.

In about 3 hours, visitors will experience the sculpting process of making a wooden product under the guidance of Au Lac artisans. Currently on display are 3 unique works of Au Lac wood carving art, including "Thu River and Ngoc Mountain", "Sacred Soul of Mountains and Rivers" and "Than Nong", helping viewers better understand the history and culture of Quang as well as the Vietnamese people... And when having a meal "Than Nong", with specialties of the Thu River beach area, as a message promoting green agriculture, a green lifestyle in harmony with nature.

Mr. Tran Thu - Director of Au Lac Art Wood Company Limited (the unit managing the Au Lac cultural tourism site) said that, in addition to promoting and introducing the quintessence of local wood carving, the idea of building the Au Lac cultural tourism site also aims to preserve and develop national cultural values. "It may be difficult at first, but if we want to nurture the traditional handicraft industry, the path of tourism is inevitable to help this handicraft survive," Mr. Thu shared.
