At the same time, he requested that all levels and localities continue to focus on building a militia and self-defense force with reasonable numbers, increasingly high overall quality, a streamlined, strong organization, and increasingly better meeting the requirements of national defense and security tasks in the new situation.

On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Vietnam Militia and Self-Defense Force Tradition Day, the People's Committee of Thu Duc City commended and awarded 15 groups and 73 individuals who are typical militiamen in various fields. The Military Command of Thu Duc City also presented gifts to encourage militiamen to overcome difficulties and complete their tasks well.
