The highlight of the plan is the "Tet Sum Vay" program with the theme "Tet Sum Vay - Spring Solidarity", which will be focused on and implemented by the city's Trade Unions at all levels to take care of 15,000 union member families in difficult circumstances, with unpaid wages, social insurance debts, affected by natural disasters in the northern provinces, and poor union members who cannot return home for Tet.

The Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (HLF) also coordinated with many businesses and units to organize the "Workers' Festival - Charity Market" for the Lunar New Year 2025 with the theme: "Encouraging cashless payments", thereby taking care of 9,500 disadvantaged union members and union members in the informal labor sector with a spending level of 1 million VND/member for shopping at the market.

Along with that, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation coordinated with units to organize the program "Workers' families celebrate Tet with the city" for the 4th time in 2025 to take care of 10,000 families of union members, workers, civil servants, and exemplary workers who have completed production and business tasks well, actively participated in union activities; union members and workers in accommodation areas and boarding houses. The total estimated budget for these 3 programs is more than 46 billion VND.

In addition, the City's Trade Union at all levels also organizes programs: Ticket of love, Tet for children, Happy Tet at the boarding house... to take care of a warm and complete Tet At Ty 2025 for union members, civil servants, and laborers.

According to the report of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, on the occasion of the 2024 Lunar New Year, the City spent nearly 1,300 billion VND to take care of more than 1.4 million people, an increase in both quantity and quality compared to the same period in 2023. On this occasion, the City's Trade Unions at all levels spent about 135 billion VND, of which 34 billion VND was at the City level and 101 billion VND at the district, county, and grassroots Trade Union levels so that workers could enjoy a joyful, meaningful, warm, and united traditional New Year.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, Ho Chi Minh City and all levels of trade unions will base on the actual situation and financial resources of the locality and unit to organize activities to support all or part of the transportation costs for workers to return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet and return to their workplaces safely, conveniently and thoughtfully.
