The couples are officials, employees, teachers, demobilized soldiers, young workers, and laborers in difficult circumstances working in Ho Chi Minh City.
At the Ho Chi Minh Monument Park, 82 couples of brides and grooms took a minute to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh - National Liberation Hero, world cultural celebrity, who sacrificed his whole life for the revolutionary cause, for national independence, for a prosperous and happy life for the people.
The couples were also awarded the Ho Chi Minh City Badge and had their photos taken as a souvenir on the sacred happy day of their lives. After the flower offering ceremony in memory of President Ho Chi Minh, the brides and grooms in traditional costumes, turbans and ao dai, paraded together by double-decker bus from the city center to Long Bien Palace Wedding and Convention Center, Go Vap District to hold their wedding ceremony according to traditional rituals.
The program "Mass Wedding Ceremony" not only has a humane meaning when helping many disadvantaged couples, but also contributes to honoring the beauty of traditional national culture, promoting civilized and economical weddings, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and "loyalty" - a very generous characteristic of the people of the City.
It is known that in 16 years with 14 times of organization, the City Youth Workers Support Center has accompanied agencies, unions, and business communities in the city, joining hands to help more than 1,156 couples of young workers in difficult circumstances to organize wedding ceremonies through the collective wedding ceremony program.
After the wedding ceremony, the Organizing Committee will launch the Journey of Happiness program for couples (November 2023). This year's program will connect and carry out social activities. Couples will not only receive love from everyone but also share and give that love to many other situations such as giving a dream room, a friendship house, and a digital learning corner to disadvantaged young workers.
