Data on the English high school graduation exam scores from the Ministry of Education and Training shows that out of 906,500 candidates taking the English high school graduation exam this year, 565 candidates achieved perfect scores, and 145 received failing scores (1 or lower).
Of the 565 exams scoring 10 points nationwide, Ho Chi Minh City had 149 exams scoring 10 points, continuing to lead the country in English exam scores for 8 consecutive years.
In this year's exam, the 10 localities with the highest average English scores include: Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Hanoi, Da Nang, Vinh Phuc, Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh.

On the other hand, localities with low average English scores include: Ha Giang, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Cao Bang, Son La, Hoa Binh.
Statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training show that the average score for foreign languages (mainly English) this year is 5.51, the median score is 5.2. Meanwhile, in 2023, the average and median scores for this subject are 5.45 and 5.2, respectively.
According to the Department of Quality Management, Ministry of Education and Training, the score distribution of high school graduation exams in 2024 remains stable and similar to the score distribution in 2023 and previous years. The average and median scores of exams nationwide remain stable and similar to 2023.
