New President Donald Trump signed a series of executive orders immediately after being sworn in, related to immigration, tariffs, technology and oil exploitation...

President Donald Trump's first day back in the White House marked a series of strong actions. As promised during the 2024 election campaign, Donald Trump immediately implemented executive orders to reverse many of the policies of his predecessor Joe Biden.

These decisions not only demonstrate his strong determination to fulfill his promises to voters, but also lay the foundation for a new phase of the Trump administration, with sweeping changes from climate policy to immigration and many other important national issues.

Climate and energy policy

Immediately after taking office, President Trump signed an executive order officially withdrawing the United States from the Paris Climate Agreement, one of the key commitments of his election campaign.

This is not the first time Mr. Trump has taken this action, because during his first term, he also withdrew the US from this agreement, however, this decision was reversed by the Biden administration.

Withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement would remove the US from international commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, which Donald Trump said was unfair to the US economy, especially the oil and gas industry.

Along with that, Mr. Donald Trump also continued to fulfill his commitment to promote the fossil fuel industry, especially oil and natural gas exploitation.

One of the key decisions was to call for less regulation of the industry, which he said would help reduce consumer costs and boost economic growth.

In particular, Mr. Donald Trump emphasized facilitating oil exploitation in Alaska, an area with large oil reserves, thereby helping the US increase its energy self-sufficiency.

Immigration policy

One of the controversial decisions on President Trump's first day was his reversal of a series of immigration policies of his predecessor Biden.

During his election campaign, Donald Trump pledged to restore tough immigration policies, and on his first day in the White House, he did just that.

He signed an executive order reimposing the “ all illegal immigrants are subject to deportation ” policy, a decision that had caused great opposition during his first term.

Along with that, Mr. Donald Trump declared a national emergency at the US-Mexico border and requested the deployment of the military to support immigration forces in restricting refugees and asylum seekers.

Another key decision was to require asylum seekers to wait in Mexico, a policy that was in place during his first term. However, it is unclear whether Mexico will agree to take back the migrants.

Besides major political issues, President Donald Trump also did not forget to make shocking decisions related to the attack on the US Capitol Building on January 6, 2021.

He signed an amnesty decree for about 1,500 people convicted or prosecuted in connection with the event, as part of his promise to " restore justice " to his supporters.

This not only reflects Donald Trump's commitment to protecting the interests of his followers, but also shows part of his larger strategy to reduce divisions in American society.

Foreign policy and tariffs

On the foreign policy front, Mr. Trump has also made bold decisions since day one. He announced that he would impose a 25% tariff on goods from Canada and Mexico starting February 1, which could cause major upheavals in North American trade relations.

However, he declined to provide details on his plans to impose tariffs on imports from China, despite his campaign pledge to take drastic measures against China to protect American manufacturing.

Another decision by Donald Trump was to sign an executive order to rename the Gulf of Mexico to "Gulf of America" and restore the name "Mount McKinley" to the highest mountain in North America.

This was not only to reaffirm American sovereignty and power but also to demonstrate national pride. He declared that this was to honor " American greatness " and affirm the country's importance in the international community.

In addition to decisions related to domestic and foreign policy, President Trump also issued a series of executive orders to restructure the federal government.

He signed an executive order suspending the hiring of federal government employees, except for the military and some other important departments, indicating that Mr. Trump will continue to pursue a strategy of reducing government intervention in the economy and reforming the administrative apparatus.

Another controversial decision was Mr. Trump's signing of an executive order that only recognized two unchangeable genders: male and female.

Under this decree, gender will be determined based on biological factors...

President Donald Trump’s first day in office has been marked by a series of dramatic decisions, each reflecting not only campaign promises but also major shifts in national policies, from climate and energy to immigration and the rights of social groups.

However, the implementation of these commitments also faces many challenges and mixed reactions.

Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States on the night of January 20 and the early morning of January 21 (Vietnam time). He is the second president to be elected to non-consecutive terms.

In his inaugural address, Donald Trump outlined how he plans to create a "golden age" of America, touching on issues ranging from energy independence and immigration reform, to ending wars around the world and colonizing Mars.
