Summary of the emulation movement to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to Hanoi Police

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Pham Thanh Hung - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of the City Police Department affirmed: in order to create a change in the awareness of the City Police Department's officers and soldiers about the content, value and great significance of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; about the heroic tradition of the Capital Police Force - the unit honored to be visited by Uncle Ho 5 times, thereby continuing to successfully implement Resolution No. 12 of the Politburo on building a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite and modern People's Public Security Force, the City Police Department's Party Committee and Board of Directors have launched a special emulation movement to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit and New Year greetings to officers and soldiers of the Hanoi Police Department; the 134th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, thereby creating motivation and strongly promoting the patriotic emulation movement, striving to excellently complete assigned political tasks.

After nearly 6 months of implementation, the emulation movement in the City Police has achieved encouraging results: Political security continues to be maintained and stable; during the emulation period, the City Police effectively deployed plans and strategies, ensuring absolute security and safety for nearly 1,000 meetings, events and activities of Party and State leaders in the City.

In addition, social order and safety have many positive changes, social order crimes continue to be controlled and reduced compared to the same period. Law enforcement in investigation activities is ensured and has many changes. Continue to effectively implement Project No. 06 of the Government with many unique measures and solutions; maintain and ensure "correct, sufficient, clean, and alive" population data; pilot implementation of updating civil status data into the National Population Database...

In the emulation movement, the City Police and its affiliated units have organized many practical and meaningful activities, learning about the life, background and career of President Ho Chi Minh; charitable activities, visiting, helping and accompanying the people; launching a writing contest with the theme "Proud of the Heroic Capital Police - The unit visited by Uncle Ho 5 times"; organizing meetings between the City Police leaders and typical advanced models; organizing a Drama Festival with the theme: behind the feats.

Especially with the efforts and determination of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors of the City Police Department and all officers and soldiers, the Hanoi Police Department has completed the statue of President Ho Chi Minh and the relief of Uncle Ho with the Hanoi Police Department, which were solemnly placed at the campus of the City Police Department, to be inaugurated on the occasion of the 134th anniversary of his birth.

The inauguration and putting into use of the statue of President Ho Chi Minh both marks the event of Uncle Ho's 5th visit to Hanoi Police and shows the great respect and gratitude of the officers and soldiers of Hanoi Police for the great President Ho Chi Minh.

On behalf of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the City Police Department, the Deputy Director of the City Police Department warmly congratulated and commended the achievements and results of the units in the recent emulation movement; at the same time, highly appreciated the proactiveness in advising on the organization, launching, and implementing the emulation movement and activities with extremely meaningful, practical, and timely content of the City Police Department's functional departments.

Many groups and individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Director of Hanoi City Police.

On this occasion, the City Police Department also announced the decision to reward 140 collectives and 318 individuals who had outstanding achievements in the construction of the President Ho Chi Minh Statue and the Relief at the City Police Department headquarters; achievements in the special emulation movement to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit and New Year greetings to officers and soldiers of the Hanoi Police Department at 87 Tran Hung Dao and the 134th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh; achievements in staff work and successful organization of welcoming activities at the City Police Department level.
