On the morning of January 23, in Hanoi, the Party Central Office held a ceremony to announce the President's Decision and award the Ho Chi Minh Medal to comrade Dinh The Huynh, former member of the Politburo and former Standing member of the 12th Party Central Committee Secretariat.
Also attending the ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office; Lam Thi Phuong Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Chief of the Party Central Committee Office; leaders of the Party Central Committee Office, the General Secretary's Office, and the Party Cell Secretary where comrade Dinh The Huynh practiced his Party activities.
At the ceremony, the representative of the Party Central Office announced Decision No. 32/QD-CTN dated January 3, 2025 of the President on awarding the Ho Chi Minh Medal to comrade Dinh The Huynh, former member of the Politburo, former Standing member of the 12th Party Central Committee Secretariat, for his great and outstanding contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, General Secretary To Lam presented the Ho Chi Minh Medal to comrade Dinh The Huynh. Congratulating comrade Dinh The Huynh on receiving the noble award, the General Secretary affirmed that this is the recognition of the Party, State and people for comrade Dinh The Huynh's great merits and contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
Since the age of 18, he joined the army and fought directly on the Quang Tri battlefield. At the age of 21, he was honored to be admitted to the Party and participated in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign. After the country was unified, he participated in propaganda work and was sent by the Party and State to study at Moscow State University.
Comrade Dinh The Huynh has held many positions, holding many important positions of the Party and State such as: Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Editor-in-Chief, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nhan Dan Newspaper; President of the Vietnam Journalists Association; Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; Member of the Party Central Committee for the 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th terms; Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee for the 11th, 12th terms; Member of the Politburo, Standing member of the Secretariat for the 12th term. He is considered an ideologist and theorist, with many contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
The General Secretary wished Comrade Dinh The Huynh and his family a new year of good health, peace and prosperity; and hoped that Comrade would continue to pay attention and contribute to the cause of national construction and development.
In the solemn atmosphere of the ceremony, Comrade Dinh The Huynh expressed his emotion and honor to be recognized by the Party and State and awarded the Ho Chi Minh Medal. He thanked General Secretary To Lam for representing the Party and State leaders in awarding the noble Ho Chi Minh Medal.
On this occasion, comrade Dinh The Huynh respectfully expressed his thanks to the Party cells, the Party Committee in the army, the Party Committee of Nhan Dan Newspaper, the Party Committee of the Central Propaganda Department, the Party Committee of the Central Party Office, the Party Committee of the Central Agencies for their education and training; at the same time, he sent his sincere thanks to the comrades and colleagues in the places where he worked who wholeheartedly supported, cooperated, and helped him to successfully complete his tasks.
