General Secretary and President of Laos sent a congratulatory letter to President Luong Cuong

On the occasion of comrade Luong Cuong being elected by the 15th National Assembly to hold the position of President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Thongloun Sisoulith sent a congratulatory letter.

President Luong Cuong takes the oath of office on October 21, 2024.

General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith affirmed that Comrade Luong Cuong's election to the position of President demonstrates the trust and appreciation of the Party, State and people of Vietnam; he believes that Comrade Luong Cuong, together with the Party and State leaders, will lead the country and people of Vietnam to continue to gain new and greater achievements in the renovation process to achieve the goal of becoming an industrialized country in the direction of modernity, a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.

The Lao General Secretary and President wishes to cooperate closely with President Luong Cuong to continue to contribute to fostering the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation, and fine traditions between the two Parties, two States and peoples. Laos-Vietnam increasingly develop and bear fruit, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries as well as for peace, stability and cooperation for development in the region and the world.
