The program aims to practically celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024), commemorate and pay tribute to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for national independence and strengthen education on traditions, patriotism, and foster revolutionary ideals for the younger generation.
According to the organizers, during the resistance wars for national independence and to protect the nation’s territorial integrity, there were countless young men and women in their late teens and early twenties who went to war and never returned. Until now, there are still martyrs who died but their remains have not been found and thousands of martyrs who died without a single intact photo, causing those who remained to worry and be tormented.
Ha Tinh Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Trung Dung and representatives of the organizing committee presented a reconstructed portrait of martyr Nguyen Xuan Thinh to martyr Thinh's mother, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu.

Since the beginning of 2024, through the connection of Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union, a group of young people who love technology Skyline has planned to implement the project "Coloring memories" to restore free portraits of heroic martyrs in Ha Tinh province.
After many days and nights of hard work, the Skyline team has restored more than 130 portraits of martyrs to give to their relatives.
At today’s program, the organizers presented nearly 70 photos to the families of martyrs. Many martyrs’ relatives hugged the photos and cried with emotion.
The remaining photos will be presented directly to the martyrs' relatives by the organizers and the local Youth Union.

Ms. Nguyen Ny Huong, Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union, said that the restored photos of heroic martyrs not only recreate their portraits but also serve as a bridge between the past and the present, helping the families and relatives of martyrs to "reunite" in a special way.
The warm reception from the martyrs' relatives and the community has motivated the Youth Union, accompanying units and especially the Skyline group to make more efforts on the journey of gratitude.
"This is also a meaningful message to remind today's young generation of their responsibility in preserving and continuing the achievements that previous generations of fathers and heroes and martyrs have created," Ms. Huong shared.
