Import and export declarations through Thai Nguyen Customs increased sharply

(HQ Online) - As of March 10, 2024, Thai Nguyen Customs Branch (Bac Ninh Customs Department) collected 439.51 billion VND in budget revenue, equal to 17.58% of the assigned target (2,500 billion VND), equal to 102.98% compared to the same period last year (426.77 billion VND).

According to statistics from Thai Nguyen Customs Branch, up to the above time, the Branch has processed customs procedures for 50,606 declarations, an increase of about 13.1% over the same period last year.

Of these, import declarations reached 25,214, up 14% and export declarations reached 25,392, up 13%.

Total import-export turnover through the area reached 10.51 billion USD, an increase of about 20% over the same period last year (including import turnover reaching 3.61 billion USD, an increase of 14% and export turnover reaching 6.90 billion USD, an increase of 25%).

According to the leader of Thai Nguyen Customs Branch, the reason for the increase in declarations, turnover, and budget revenue mainly comes from exported items such as tablets, phone components, batteries, chargers, etc., and imported coal, steel, etc., and some new businesses.

For example, Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen Company Limited exports tablets, phone components, batteries, chargers, etc.; Thai Hung Trading Joint Stock Company imports coal; Toan Thang Steel Joint Stock Company imports steel.

It is worth mentioning that since the beginning of 2024, a number of new enterprises have initiated procedures through Thai Nguyen Customs Branch and have declarations and increased turnover.

Typical examples include Trina Solar Wafer Co., Ltd. (Vietnam), Trina Solar Energy Development Co., Ltd.

According to the leader of Thai Nguyen Customs Branch, with the desire to contribute to improving the local investment and business environment and implementing the Customs sector's policies on administrative procedure reform, customs modernization, and facilitating trade activities, the Branch has made many efforts to support, accompany, and facilitate the business community.

From the project implementation process until the enterprise goes into production, the Department always accompanies, supports, advises, and guides the Company to grasp and comply with legal regulations. If any problems arise during the implementation process, the Department promptly grasps and resolves them.
