Da Nang welcomes first two flights from Kazakhstan and Myanmar

DNVN - At 11:00 a.m. on April 2, flight VJ52 by A330/300 aircraft from Almaty (Kazakhstan) landed at Da Nang International Airport, bringing nearly 300 passengers to visit and experience tourism services in the Han River City.

According to Director of Da Nang Department of Tourism Truong Thi Hong Hanh, the Almaty - Da Nang flight route marks an important milestone in connecting Da Nang tourism with the Kazakhstan market in particular and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in general, contributing to promoting the attraction of tourists from this new potential market to the Han River City.

Da Nang Department of Tourism has proactively issued a plan to develop and serve the international tourist market via flights from CIS countries, focusing on communication, promotion and market research; strengthening the promotion of Da Nang tourism to the CIS market;

At the same time, organize seminars and discussions to share information and orient the market for travel companies, hotels, resorts, restaurants, service establishments, etc. in Da Nang and Hoi An ( Quang Nam ); check to ensure security and safety for customers; prepare suitable tourism products and improve the quality of human resources serving customers.

According to the plan, Crystal Bay Tour and Rustar DMC Vietnam will operate the Kazakhstan - Da Nang route with a frequency of 4 flights/week from April to October 2025. Specifically, from Almaty to Da Nang there will be 2 flights/week on Tuesday and Friday; from Astana to Da Nang there will be 2 flights/week on Wednesday and Saturday.

The Da Nang Department of Tourism also said that tonight, April 2, the first flight of Myanmar Airways International will bring nearly 120 passengers from Yangon (Myanmar) to Da Nang. On this occasion, the city's tourism industry also presented the Myanmar Embassy in Vietnam with contributions to share the difficulties faced by the people of Myanmar after the severe earthquake on March 28.

The new route from Yangon marks the milestone of 8/10 Southeast Asian countries having direct flights to Da Nang, including Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia and Myanmar. At the same time, it brings the total number of international routes to Da Nang to 16 regular routes. Currently, there are an average of 52 international flights to Da Nang every day.
