On June 4, Regiment 254 (Provincial Military Command) and Training - Mobile Battalion (Provincial Border Guard Command) held an oath-taking ceremony for new soldiers in 2024.

* On the morning of June 4, Regiment 254 (Provincial Military Command) held an oath-taking ceremony for new soldiers in 2024.

Attending the ceremony were Colonel Nguyen Van Do, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, together with representatives of local Party committees and authorities of districts, towns and cities in the province and newly trained soldiers at the unit.

After more than 3 months of training, the new soldiers of Regiment 254 have completed the contents according to the prescribed program. 100% of the new soldiers are mature, steadfast in all aspects, have a fuller awareness of the task of protecting the socialist Fatherland; the tasks and ideal combat goals of the army; always clearly define the role, responsibility, strictly comply with the law of the State, military discipline, and regulations of the unit. The results of the test of the training contents are over 80% good and excellent. Of which, the content of throwing grenades and explosives is good, shooting is fair, ensuring absolute safety for people and weapons and equipment.

Speaking at the oath-taking ceremony of new soldiers, Colonel Nguyen Van Do, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, acknowledged and commended the results that Regiment 254 has achieved in training new soldiers. At the same time, he hoped that after being assigned to the units, new soldiers would continue to strive to study, practice, cultivate military ethics and style, be ready to receive and complete all assigned tasks, contributing to building a strong and comprehensive agency and unit that is a "typical model".

In 2024, Lao Cai Provincial Border Guard received and trained new soldiers who were children of ethnic minorities selected from localities in the province. After 3 months of training with the determination to "overcome the sun and overcome the rain", the new soldiers successfully completed the training content and program according to the regulations of the Ministry of National Defense and the Border Guard Command; matured in all aspects, mastered the key points, technical and tactical movements, and team orders; improved political mettle, steadfast and steady ideology, good physical strength, ready to receive and successfully complete all assigned tasks.

All soldiers understand and grasp the characteristics, tasks of the army, and the responsibilities of soldiers; understand the history and traditions of the army and border guards; know how to use, manage, and preserve the weapons in the establishment, and are ready to complete the assigned tasks well. The results of the test contents were 100% satisfactory, of which 75% were good and excellent.

After the oath-taking ceremony, the new soldiers will be trained for another 1.5 months to equip them with basic knowledge and skills in border work, border management and protection, and to train their will and style to meet the requirements of the task of protecting sovereignty and border security in the new situation.
