With the theme "Solidarity - Exemplary - Discipline - Proactiveness - Creativity - Determination to Win", the emulation movement of Bat Xat district's Armed Forces for the period 2019 - 2024 was deployed synchronously with the contents and emulation criteria always closely following the political tasks of the unit; rich and diverse launching forms; timely motivating cadres and soldiers to actively and voluntarily participate. Through the emulation movement of Determination to Win, advanced models of the district's Armed Forces have been formed and widely developed, contributing to the excellent completion of training, rehearsal and combat readiness tasks; building a clean and strong Party organization and a comprehensively strong agency and unit "exemplary and typical".
Over the past 5 years, the district's armed forces have advised local Party committees and authorities to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Politburo's resolutions and the Government's decrees on building defense zones, closely coordinating the three forces (Military, Police, Border Guard) in performing the tasks of protecting security and order, fighting against crime and national defense tasks. Maintaining the effective operation of more than 25 self-defense and self-management models, typically the model of "Self-managed inter-family groups on security and order", the "Shield" model, "Electricity to light up the countryside"...
The agencies and units of the district's armed forces have also effectively implemented the emulation movement "Good training, good solidarity, strict discipline", closely following the mottos, viewpoints, principles, and combinations, attaching importance to synchronous, in-depth training, close to the area, combat objects, and local tasks. The annual training results always meet 100% of the requirements, of which the good and excellent rate is from 75 - 80%. Through training, the command level, coordination and mobility of the district's armed forces have been improved, meeting the requirements of tasks in all situations.
Military recruitment was carried out strictly, completing 100% of the targets assigned by superiors. National defense and security education for the subjects annually reached 100% of the plan. The district's military force also carried out the movement "The army joins hands to build new rural areas" well last year. It mobilized 4,357 officers and soldiers to help people repair 15.7km of rural roads, dredge 56.6km of canals, and build 55 toilets. Coordinated with Regiment 254 to pour 1.8km of rural concrete roads, and donated 100 mattresses, 100 sets of blankets, and mosquito nets to poor households in Nam Chac commune.
From 2019 to 2024, nearly 80 collectives and more than 300 individuals were awarded at all levels in the "Determined to Win" emulation movement; some collectives have maintained their achievements for many consecutive years. The District Military Command was honored to receive the title of "Determined to Win" Unit in 2021 from the Military Region 2 Command; the Provincial People's Committee awarded 2 emulation flags and 1 Certificate of Merit to the leading unit in the emulation movement "All people participate in building and strengthening national defense and security" in 2022.
At the congress, delegates focused on discussing, proposing directions, goals, tasks and some key measures to promote the implementation of the emulation movement "Determination to Win" in the period of 2024 - 2029. In particular, the overarching goal is to promote the combined strength in building the district's armed forces with strong political will, high combat readiness, ready to receive and complete all assigned tasks; build a clean and strong party organization, a comprehensively strong unit; truly be the core force in building the all-people national defense, the people's security posture associated with the increasingly solid "people's hearts posture". Create favorable conditions to successfully implement the goals and targets of socio-economic development, consolidate the district's national defense and security.
Speaking at the congress, Colonel Dang Hong Hai, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, proposed that in the coming time, the Party Committee, the District Military Command, Party committees, authorities, and Military Commands of communes and towns strengthen leadership and direction of emulation and reward work and the "Determined to Win" emulation movement; regularly do a good job of propagating and educating Ho Chi Minh's ideology on emulation and reward work; based on the practical situation and political tasks of the locality and the armed forces to determine the appropriate themes, goals, and targets of each emulation period; regularly innovate the content and form of organizing emulation to attract officers and soldiers of the armed forces to participate; pay attention to, encourage, and promptly discover new factors; actively foster and replicate advanced models for all officers and soldiers to learn and follow...
At the congress, representatives of the Bat Xat District Military Command presented the resolution of the District Armed Forces Emulation Congress for the period 2019 - 2024; 23 collectives and 42 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the District People's Committee for their achievements in the Emulation Movement for the period 2019 - 2024.
