Every year, the Provincial Federation of Labor and grassroots trade unions develop plans and organize monitoring sessions on the implementation of labor laws, focusing on regulations on labor contracts, social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, occupational safety and hygiene, wages, grassroots democracy regulations... at agencies, units and enterprises; make recommendations to the Front organization, departments, branches and functional agencies to participate; at the same time, direct and guide grassroots trade unions to strengthen monitoring activities according to their functions and tasks to ensure the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and employees. Through monitoring, trade unions at all levels have promptly detected limitations and shortcomings; on that basis, they have advised, guided and recommended units and enterprises to rectify and overcome them; synthesized and forwarded to competent authorities for consideration and satisfactory resolution of recommendations, difficulties and problems of enterprises; especially discovering and popularizing new factors and positive aspects; promoting the mastery of union members and workers, contributing to building a clean and strong Party and State.

In addition, the grassroots trade union executive committee is interested in directing and guiding the people's inspection committee to promote its supervisory role, contributing to improving the implementation of Party policies, State laws, financial activities and the implementation of regimes and policies of workers... at agencies, units and enterprises. On the other hand, trade unions at all levels also actively participate in criticism, together with the Front organization, socio-political organizations, to comment on hundreds of central and local draft documents directly related to the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers... Many social criticism opinions of trade unions are accepted and highly appreciated by drafting agencies; becoming an important and necessary information channel to help the Party, State, Party committees and authorities in leadership, management and operation.

Comrade Tran Van Dong, Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor, said: In addition to the achieved results, the work of supervision and social criticism of trade unions at all levels also has some limitations: The skills and capacity of some trade union officials are still limited; the monitoring and implementation after supervision and criticism in many places is not as expected... In the coming time, the Provincial Federation of Labor will strengthen the dissemination and propaganda of the guiding documents of the Central, Provincial Party Committee, and Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, raising awareness of union officials, members and employees about the work of supervision and social criticism. The Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union will strengthen leadership and promote the role of the People's Inspection Committee in implementing the democratic regulations at the grassroots level, especially in relation to mechanisms, policies and regimes directly related to union members and employees. Continue to foster skills and expertise in supervision and social criticism for trade union officials to meet the requirements and tasks in the current period.
