The Editorial Board of the 14th Party Congress's Socio-Economic Subcommittee works with the Provincial People's Committee

Receiving and working with the delegation were comrade Nguyen Manh Tuan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, a number of departments, branches, and the People's Committees of Yen Son and Son Duong districts.

To develop a Report on the implementation results of the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan, period 2021-2025; 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan, period 2026-2030 to submit to the 14th National Party Congress, the Working Group went to the field and consulted in 6 regions and a number of localities across the country, including Tuyen Quang province (each region selected 2 provinces; the Northern Midlands and Mountains region selected Tuyen Quang and Phu Tho).

At the working session, the delegation and delegates heard a report on the results of implementing the main goals, tasks and solutions for socio-economic development in the 3 years of 2021-2023 and the first 6 months of 2024.

After more than 3 years of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, many targets have been achieved and exceeded the Resolution's goals.

GRDP economic growth in the 2021-2023 period is estimated to increase by 8%, in the first 6 months of the year it increased by 8.84%, ranking 9th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide and ranking 2nd out of 14 provinces in the Northern Midlands and Mountains.

However, in socio-economic development, the province still has some limitations such as: Agricultural, forestry and fishery production has not made a breakthrough; the application of science and technology to improve productivity and product quality is still limited; the implementation of the goal of making tourism an important economic sector of the province still faces many difficulties; has not attracted many projects with high added value, creating momentum for long-term growth...

Based on the current socio-economic development situation, the province proposed a number of contents such as: The Government should soon have guidelines on selling carbon certificates; Central ministries and branches should pay attention and soon create conditions for Tuyen Quang to implement the Project to build Tuyen Quang into a high-tech forestry zone and a wood processing production center.

At the same time, pay attention to and create conditions for allocating public investment capital for the period 2026 - 2030 in implementing investment projects to build a number of key transport projects, which are of great significance in expanding the province's development space and connecting industrial parks; promptly issue specific policies for the Northern Midlands and Mountains region.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Manh Tuan received the opinions of experts contributing to the socio-economic development of Tuyen Quang province. In particular, special attention was paid to determining the development aspirations of the province in the next 5 years, creating new development space, developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector... From there, solutions were determined to effectively implement the provincial and regional planning to build documents for the 18th Provincial Party Congress, period 2025-2030.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee answered and clarified the opinions of the Working Group on the socio-economic development situation of the province and solutions to implement in the period of 2026-2030.

In the coming time, Tuyen Quang province will continue to closely follow, seriously and resolutely implement, and strive to exceed the goals set out in the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress. At the same time, focus on directing the implementation of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Planning with strategic breakthrough requirements and tasks, striving to build Tuyen Quang into a developed province in the Northern Midlands and Mountains region.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Cao Viet Sinh, Head of the Working Group, congratulated Tuyen Quang province on its achievements in socio-economic development in recent times. The Working Group will receive opinions and recommendations from Tuyen Quang province, which are an important basis for synthesizing, developing documents and reports to submit to the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The delegation visited the export wood production factory of Woodsland Tuyen Quang Joint Stock Company, Tuyen Quang Iron and Steel Factory, and An Hoa Pulp and Paper Factory.
