Accordingly, the Hai Phong City Relief Mobilization Committee will continue to allocate nearly 46 billion VND to support the construction of houses for 69 poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households that are unable to stabilize their lives before the Lunar New Year 2025; support 2,036 farming households, farm owners, and production farms in the fields of cultivation, forestry, livestock, and aquaculture that suffered heavy damage after the storm.
The Hai Phong City Relief Mobilization Committee also allocated over 132 million VND to the Department of Health to support treatment for people injured by storm No. 3 in the city.
Up to now, from the received amount, the City Relief Mobilization Committee has allocated it into 3 phases with a total amount of over 125 billion VND to build 461 new houses with a support level of 100 million VND/house; repair 504 houses with a support level of 20 million VND/house; support agricultural production recovery and support people injured by the storm at medical facilities in the area.
With the remaining amount, the City Relief Mobilization Committee agreed with the People's Committee at the same level to implement social security policies in the local disaster-affected areas to ensure they are appropriate to the actual situation.
To speed up the progress of supporting people to overcome the consequences of the storm, on the same day, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city issued Official Dispatch No. 217/MTTQ-BTT directing the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of districts and towns - Relief Mobilization Committees of localities to continue to closely coordinate with the People's Committees of the same level, report to the Party Committee to quickly allocate and support the received funding to beneficiaries through bank transfer.
In case of no bank account, support will be provided in cash. Localities will urgently complete the disbursement of the first and second support packages, and develop a plan to implement the third support package to help people stabilize their lives before Tet.
The allocation of support funds and management of their use must be for the right purposes, effective, public, transparent, without errors, missed targets or policy exploitation. The Hai Phong City Fatherland Front focuses on checking the public announcement of allocation results, posting of lists and beneficiaries at the People's Committees of communes, wards and towns; strengthening supervision, continuing to grasp the ideological situation and public opinion of cadres, party members, union members, association members and people in activities to support overcoming the consequences of the storm...
