On January 10, the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs (HTGĐLS) held a conference to review and evaluate the results of implementation in 2024 and deploy tasks in 2025. Attending were comrade Nguyen Huu Dien - former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Honorary President of the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs; representative leaders: Provincial Military Command, Provincial Association of War Veterans.
In 2024, despite many difficulties, the Association of Family and Friends of the Martyrs from the province to the local level has united and made efforts to complete the assigned tasks. The Provincial Association of Family and Friends of the Martyrs has mobilized the establishment of two more affiliated branches in Tan Son and Thanh Son districts. Along with receiving, consulting and supporting 313 families of martyrs, the Association also coordinated with the Provincial Military Command to confirm information about the place of death of 167 martyrs, and to amend and supplement information on the martyrs' records of 69 cases.
Over the past year, the Provincial Association and its affiliated branches have searched for, announced, and shared on social media platforms over 400 gravestones of martyrs from Phu Tho, of which more than 80 graves had incorrect or missing information, which many people were interested in. Coordinated with the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to advise and support families in moving 60 martyrs' remains to their hometown cemeteries for burial.
In addition to consulting, supporting, searching, and correcting information about martyrs, the Association also carries out other gratitude activities such as: visiting, giving gifts, donating wheelchairs, and supporting the construction of houses of gratitude. From there, it contributes to encouraging relatives and families of martyrs to improve their lives.
In 2025, the Association will quickly reorganize in a streamlined and efficient manner; actively promote on the occasion of major events of the country and the province. The Association plans to advise and support 50-60 families of martyrs to correct, supplement information and move martyrs' remains back to their hometowns, including free rail travel for 5-10 cases; continue to care for and promptly encourage members in difficult circumstances...
On this occasion, the Vietnam Association of Family and Friends of Martyrs awarded the Golden Plaque of Honor "For the cause of gratitude to martyrs" to 1 individual and 8 Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals. The Provincial Association of Family and Friends of Martyrs awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 individuals who made active contributions to the activities of gratitude to martyrs in 2024.
