In the 2024-2025 school year, the National Traffic Safety Committee, in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Training and Honda Vietnam Company, donated over 1.7 million helmets that meet National Technical Regulations to first-grade students nationwide.
Representatives of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee presented helmets to students of Ha Thach Primary School, Phu Tho town.
In Phu Tho province, 100% of primary schools in the province have received and presented helmets that meet the standards provided by Honda Vietnam Company; implemented the signing of commitments with parents on wearing helmets for their children when participating in traffic. From October 14 to December 8, 2024, 24,786 helmets were received and presented to first-graders at 281 primary schools; 24,758 students were instructed on how to wear helmets properly and 15,576 parents signed a commitment to comply with regulations on ensuring traffic safety and order, and wearing helmets for their children when participating in traffic.

This is a meaningful activity to raise people's awareness of complying with regulations requiring children to wear standard helmets; promoting the role and responsibility of schools and parents in educating, guiding and implementing regulations requiring students to wear helmets when riding motorbikes, scooters and electric bicycles, thereby minimizing the consequences of traffic accidents for children.
