The Vietnamese stock market fluctuated strongly in the last trading session of the week, July 14. In the afternoon trading session, the market began to plummet after the effect of STB shares being sold off due to many unfavorable information related to Bamboo Airways, at times falling to the floor. The VN-Index at times fell more than 10 points, but then the strong bottom-fishing cash flow caused the market to make a spectacular comeback. STB shares also escaped the floor and closed the session down 3.33%.
In addition, some other bank stocks still increased such as: MBB increased by 1.63%, HDB increased by 1.61%, VIB, VCB increased by nearly 1%. The group of securities stocks also rebounded with VIX hitting the ceiling, VND increased by 3.06%, VCI increased by 2.4%, SSI increased by 0.35%, HCM increased by 0.17%, FTS increased by 2.71%, BSI increased by 2.05%... The group of steel stocks continued to break out when POM hit the ceiling, HPG increased by 1.66%, HSG increased by 1.43%, NKG increased by 3.75%.
Real estate stocks were differentiated, but many stocks still increased strongly, such as HDC hitting the ceiling, NLG up 6.49%, NVL up 1.34%, DIG up 1.36%, VCG up 2.47%, CII up 4.24%, ITA up 2.69...
At the end of the trading session, VN-Index increased by 2.98 points (0.26%) to 1,168 points with 220 stocks increasing, 192 stocks decreasing and 89 stocks remaining unchanged.
At the end of the session at Hanoi Stock Exchange, HNX-Index also increased by 0.22 points (0.10%) to 230.19 points with 83 stocks increasing, 83 stocks decreasing and 71 stocks remaining unchanged.
Market liquidity increased sharply, with total transaction value across the market reaching more than VND23,000 billion, of which the HOSE floor alone reached nearly VND20,900 billion.
