HAGL SHOCKINGLY WINS , CAHN CLUB LOSE THE TOP POSITION
Just 1 week after winning the top spot in the V-League, Hanoi Police Club (CAHN) received a shock when they unexpectedly lost 0-1 at Pleiku Stadium. That was the match where HAGL welcomed the return of Le Van Son and he himself opened a beautiful attacking path before Chau Ngoc Quang opened the score in the 25th minute. This was the 3rd goal of the Vietnamese player born in 1996, helping him lead the scoring list for the mountain town team.
Despite having to host the top team, HAGL unexpectedly rushed forward to play "tit for tat". This preemptive attack confused coach Mano Polking's stars. After the goal, the match gradually went in the direction coach Mano Polking wanted. Quang Hai and his teammates played almost half the field, completely surpassing all parameters: more than double the ball possession rate (71.5% compared to 28.5% of HAGL) to the number of passes (534-213), corner kicks (11-4). Even the stars Alan, Leo Artur, Van Duc, Dinh Bac, Van Do... launched 30 shots compared to only 5 of the home team. But the problem was that only 7/30 shots of CAHN players were on target and were all blocked by young goalkeeper Trung Kien.
Van Son, Thanh Son, Quang Nho… were continuously lying on the field and being carried out on stretchers after their fierce efforts helped HAGL defeat CAHN Club. Every HAGL player, from domestic to foreign, experienced like Minh Vuong to young like Dinh Lam, Van Trieu, Bao Toan… were ready to rush into fierce one-on-one battles, on the day they met their old teammates like Van Thanh, Thanh Long. Losing the match, CAHN Club lost the top spot to HAGL.
Tien Linh continues to score his 7th goal after 7 rounds
T IEN LINH CONTINUES TO SHINE
Binh Duong FC played their 7th match and Tien Linh scored his 7th goal, this time a chip over the goalkeeper's head after a sensitive and clever off-the-ball run. Tien Linh's performance of 1 goal/match is like a simple and happy refrain as the number 1 striker of the Vietnam national team continues to maintain his brilliant form. Tien Linh's goal helped to concretize the superiority of Binh Duong FC at Hoa Xuan Stadium, especially after the captain Anh Tuan of the home team Da Nang received a red card and left the field in the 51st minute. But once again, the V-League showed its unpredictable nature, when Da Nang FC unexpectedly equalized 1-1 in a situation where only 2 orange players defeated twice as many defenders as Binh Duong. The away team even had to leave the field satisfied with this draw, when there were only 9 people left (Thanh Nhan, Minh Khoa received red cards), leading to worries for the next 2 matches against Nam Dinh and Binh Dinh FC. But anyway, the fact that main striker Tien Linh can maintain his scoring streak will continue to build confidence for Binh Duong Club and the Vietnamese team for the road ahead.
In the latest match of the same day of round 7, Hanoi FC was held to a 2-2 draw by Hai Phong FC. This result prevented the two teams from improving their positions on the rankings.
Today, November 10, round 7 of V-League 2024-2025 will continue with 3 notable matches of teams in the "red light" group.
At 6 p.m., at Vinh Stadium, SLNA will host Thanh Hoa Club in the "Thanh - Nghe derby", while Binh Dinh Club will have a big match against direct competitor Quang Nam in Quy Nhon City. In the latest match at 7:15 p.m., The Cong Viettel Club will find the answer to the question of who can stop Ha Tinh Club's unbeaten streak that has stretched to 6 matches. It is even more worth waiting for when Coach Nguyen Duc Thang and his team will have the opportunity to take the top spot from HAGL if they take all 3 points at Hang Day Stadium.
