This afternoon, October 22, the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee worked with the Provincial Ethnic Committee on the plan to organize the 4th Provincial Congress of Ethnic Minorities. At the meeting, the leaders of the Provincial Ethnic Committee reported on the preparations for the 4th Provincial Ethnic Minority Congress, including: the expected congress program, the draft political report of the congress, the presentation of the congress resolution letter, the budget for organizing the congress, the reward work, and the propaganda work before, during and after the congress.
Up to now, the districts of Huong Hoa and Dakrong have completed the congresses of ethnic minority delegates at the district level; the districts of Gio Linh, Vinh Linh, Cam Lo, provincial units and branches have organized joint conferences to vote for official delegates to attend the provincial congress. The official congress is expected to take place on November 19, 2024 at the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee Guest House.
Concluding the working session, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang requested the Steering Committee of the 4th Provincial Congress of Ethnic Minorities to continue reviewing, supplementing and perfecting the script and content of the congress program, in which, paying attention to the content of the reportage shown at the congress must be concise, clearly reflecting the colorful picture of the traditions and contributions of ethnic minorities, contributing to the development of the homeland and the country.
Regarding the resolution of the congress letter, it is recommended that the Provincial Ethnic Committee closely follow the Party's Resolution and the Plan to implement the Ethnic Work Strategy for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2045 in Quang Tri province in conjunction with national target programs, thereby setting out specific targets and tasks, suitable to the practical situation to achieve high results; spreading the spirit of great solidarity, inspiring, connecting ethnic minorities with the army and people of the whole province, joining hands, realizing the aspiration to build a prosperous and happy life for the people.
At the same time, it also clearly stated proposals and recommendations to provincial leaders, provincial and local departments and branches to support in removing difficulties and creating all conditions for the development of ethnic minority areas.
Continue to promote propaganda work before, during and after the congress, in which the propaganda content clearly shows the colorful picture imbued with the identity of the Van Kieu and Pa Ko people with their contributions to the homeland and country and the changes and development of the village; send expectations to the TDTS people to continue promoting their national identity, integrating and developing...
Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang suggested that in the emulation and reward work, it is necessary to pay attention to rewarding collectives, individuals, and typical models in building new rural areas and advanced new rural areas in ethnic minority areas.... Proposing that the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department and related units continue to coordinate with the Provincial Ethnic Committee to ensure the successful organization of the congress.
