This afternoon, December 26, the Provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union (VYU) organized a conference to review the work of the union, association and youth movement in 2023, and at the same time, deploy the work program for 2024.

With the theme "Year of digital transformation of union activities", the union work and youth movement in 2023 in the whole province have achieved remarkable comprehensive results. Of which, 5 provincial-level youth projects, 46 district-level youth projects, 3,680 grassroots youth projects and tasks with a total value of more than 8 billion VND were built; 67 km of rural roads were newly built, upgraded and repaired; 30 km of "Country Road Light" youth projects with a value of 750 million VND; 30 "Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful" roads were built; over 470,000 new trees were planted, 125 youth volunteer teams were established and maintained to collect waste in residential areas, 35 teams to prevent social evils, etc.

Activities to accompany young people in starting and establishing businesses have been focused on by the Youth Union at all levels. In particular, focusing on career communication activities, improving business skills and e-commerce for young people; coordinating with the Provincial Social Policy Bank (CSXH) to grant a commitment to support loans for 300 youth economic development models with a total budget of 50 billion VND; supporting preferential loans for 325 models and projects of young people starting and establishing businesses with an amount of 23 billion VND, thereby increasing the total outstanding loan balance of the CSXH Bank through the Provincial Youth Union by the end of October 2023 to 535 billion VND.

Implementing the annual work theme, the Youth Union at all levels has focused on innovating the content and methods of operation, enhancing the application of information technology, and digital transformation in the activities of the Union. Emulation movements have been organized enthusiastically in each block and for each youth group, many movements have gone into depth, have had a wide spread, creating positive social effects; activities to care for and educate adolescents and children have been given attention. Thereby, in 2023, the entire Union has well implemented the set targets with 26/26 targets achieved and exceeded.

At the conference, delegates discussed and proposed key tasks and 12 basic target groups in 2024, closely following the theme of the year "Year of Youth Volunteers". Therein, focusing on organizing well emulation movements and activities to promote the pioneering, voluntary and creative role of young people in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security; implementing solutions to develop youth entrepreneurship capacity, creating an environment to support young people in starting a business with efforts to help 150 youth models get loans to start businesses, develop the economy and transfer new science and technology into production, livestock and cultivation; consulting and introducing new jobs for 4,500 young people...
On this occasion, the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union appointed the Chairman of the Youth Union, and the Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee appointed Mr. Nguyen Quoc Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, as Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union Inspection Committee. Many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in 2023 were commended and rewarded.
