Many issues related to railway transport between Vietnam and China were agreed upon in the Protocol of the 44th Vietnam-China Border Railway Conference.
On December 12, the 44th Vietnam-China Border Railway Conference ended successfully after two days of urgent and serious work.
In Hanoi, Mr. Tran Thien Canh, Director of Vietnam Railways Administration and Mr. Duong Ban, Chairman of the Board of Directors of China Railway Nanning Bureau Group Co., Ltd. signed the Protocol of the 44th Vietnam - China Border Railway Conference.

Mr. Tran Thien Canh, Director of the Vietnam Railways Department, said that the Vietnam-China border railway conference is held alternately between the two countries' railways to negotiate, resolve and reach agreement on the contents that need to be adjusted and supplemented to the annual Vietnam-China Railway Protocol.
In the spirit of friendly cooperation, issues related to railway transport between Vietnam and China were agreed upon by members of the two delegations.
According to Mr. Canh, the unification of many contents in the Protocol related to railway transport between Vietnam and China will promptly resolve problems arising during the implementation process, in line with reality, creating favorable conditions to promote international transport of goods, passengers and tourists between the two countries.
At the same time, agreement on the organization of transportation, passenger and cargo transportation, information equipment, other technical issues, etc. brings railway benefits to both sides, making an important contribution to the cause of economic, cultural and social development, and strengthening the friendly cooperative relationship between the people of the two countries.
"The Vietnam Railway Administration is being assigned by the Ministry of Transport to coordinate with the China National Railway Administration and the China National Railway Corporation to study and amend the 1992 Border Railway Agreement with the aim of separating state management from business operations. To complete the assigned tasks, in the coming time, we hope to receive effective cooperation and support from the China National Railway Corporation in the process of exchanging and negotiating to amend the Agreement," Mr. Canh emphasized.

Expressing his gratitude to the Vietnam Railway Delegation for their thoughtful and enthusiastic reception, Mr. Duong Ban, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Railway Nanning Bureau Group Co., Ltd., Head of the Vietnam Railway Delegation, affirmed that with the promotion of strategic development connections, the friendly cooperation between the two countries' railways has very good conditions and surrounding environment.
"I believe that, under the guidance of the two countries' top leaders, we just need to grasp the opportunity, cooperate and help each other, and the railway industry of both sides will certainly contribute more to serving socio-economic development," Mr. Ban expressed.
