The WEF Davos 2024 conference takes place from January 15-19 with the theme "Rebuilding Trust". Vietnam is one of 9 partners proposed by WEF to coordinate in organizing the National Strategy Dialogue with WEF and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is one of 8 leaders of countries having a private dialogue with WEF. This demonstrates the interest, recognition and appreciation of WEF as well as multinational corporations for the role, position, international status, achievements and development vision of Vietnam.
The 2024 WEF Davos Conference is the largest since the COVID-19 pandemic, with the participation of the most leaders of countries and international organizations ever (nearly 100 senior leaders of countries and international organizations, about 3,000 leaders of global corporations and businesses).
With such a scale, the conference is an important opportunity to grasp and take advantage of new opportunities and trends; share viewpoints and visions on global issues, affirm Vietnam's proactive, active participation and responsible contribution; widely inform about achievements and development orientations, thereby attracting maximum resources to serve the country's development; promote cooperation in areas of practical benefit to Switzerland.
After attending the WEF Davos 2024, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will pay official visits to Hungary and Romania. This is the first delegation exchange at the Prime Minister level between Vietnam and Hungary in the past 7 years and with Romania in the past 5 years.
The visits aim to further increase political trust, strengthen and revive the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Hungary and Romania; promote and bring traditional cooperation areas to a new stage; promote cooperation in potential and strong areas and further tighten the friendship between the Vietnamese people and the people of the two countries.
In addition, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit to Hungary and Romania also aims to connect the relationship between Vietnam and the Central Eastern European region and between the two countries and ASEAN, closely coordinating in solving global issues to contribute to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world./.
