According to Official Dispatch 8662/VPCP-KGVX of the Government Office, considering the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in Official Dispatch No. 4594/LDTBXH-ATLĐ on the proposal to take Lunar New Year and National Day holidays in 2024, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in the above document on taking National Day holidays from August 31, 2024 to September 3, 2024. The Prime Minister assigned the Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to notify administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations, socio-political organizations, enterprises and employees about the National Day holiday in 2024. According to the announcement of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees will have the National Day holiday in 2024 from Saturday, August 31 to Tuesday, September 3. The National Day holiday in 2024 lasts 4 days, including 2 National Day holidays and 2 weekly days off. The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs requests that agencies and units implementing the National Day holiday schedule in 2024 pay attention to arranging and organizing working departments reasonably to handle continuous work, ensuring good service to organizations and people. Agencies and units that do not implement a fixed schedule of Saturdays and Sundays every week will base on the specific program and plan of the unit to arrange the National Day holiday schedule in 2024 accordingly. For employees who do not belong to administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations, or socio-political organizations, the employer decides to choose the National Day holiday plan in 2024. Accordingly, during the National Day holiday, the employer chooses 1 of 2 days: Sunday, September 1 or Tuesday, September 3. The employer must notify the employee of the National Day holiday plan in 2024 at least 30 days in advance.
