Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs submits to the Prime Minister a 4-day holiday schedule for National Day and 5 days off for April 30

The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has just submitted to the Prime Minister a plan for the National Day holiday on September 2 and the holidays from April 30 to May 1 after consulting with 16 relevant ministries and agencies.

After synthesizing opinions from relevant agencies, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs submitted to the Prime Minister the holiday schedule for April 30 and May 1 along with a plan for a 9-day Lunar New Year holiday.

According to the plan submitted by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers will have 5 consecutive days off from April 30 to May 4, 2025 (swapping the working day from Friday, May 2 to Saturday, April 26, 2025).

Swapping the normal working day and compensating for it on another day not only helps civil servants, public employees, and workers have a harmonious and complete holiday, but also stimulates tourism, social consumption, and economic development. The above swapping plan also does not change the working time fund.

On the occasion of National Day, September 2, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs proposed 4 consecutive days off (from August 30 to September 2, 2025). Including 2 National Day holidays according to regulations and 2 weekend days.

The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs encourages businesses to base on reality and the above plans to arrange holiday schedules for employees.

Regardless of the option chosen, businesses must notify employees of the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday plan at least 30 days before implementation.
