The new product line was initially expected to include the standard Redmi K80 and K80 Pro, but recently a source has revealed some interesting details about this product line.
Information revealed by leaker Smart Pikachu is that Redmi K80 will have top-notch water resistance. This is a highly appreciated upgrade when its predecessor model did not have any water resistance standards.
It is likely that the Redmi K80 will be rated IP68 or IP69 for dust and water resistance as the more affordable Redmi Note 14 Pro is also confirmed to be IP69.
The source also confirmed that the Redmi K80 series will have a telephoto lens with macro photography capabilities. The back of the phone is said to be made of glass and white could be one of its color options.
In addition, the leaked information also mentioned that the product will have a 6500mAh battery to provide energy for the whole day.
Previously, there were sources saying that Redmi K80 also owns a 2K OLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
