Favorable weather for lychee trees to bloom

The weather is favorable so the white egg litchi is blooming.

According to Thanh Ha District People's Committee, white egg lychee tea is flowering, however the area of ​​this lychee tea is not large.

Other lychee teas are differentiating flower buds. This year, the rate of lychee trees producing winter buds is low.

According to the district’s Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the current cold weather is more favorable for lychee to bloom than in previous years. However, this year, the lychee bloomed about a week later than last year.

Thanh Ha district has requested communes and towns with lychee to focus on directing cooperatives and professional staff to monitor weather and pest situations to advise farmers on timely prevention.

People need to proactively take measures to get water and irrigate lychee areas when the weather is dry to add moisture for the plants to bloom smoothly.

To increase value, the district continues to direct communes to promote farmers to apply VietGAP and GlobalGAP processes in production, striving for lychee output in 2025 to reach over 35,000 tons.
