According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Lanh, a history teacher at Ta Quang Buu High School, Hanoi, this year's history exam is similar to the history exam of previous years (2022, 2021), closely following the sample exam structure of the Ministry of Education and Training, the content is in the history program in schools. This type of exam is easy for students who need graduation scores, and has a place to show students who need university entrance scores.

Although the test covers a wide range of knowledge, most of the questions are easy. From question 1 to question 24, as long as students have studied the relevant content, they can immediately choose the answer after reading the question. Therefore, it is difficult for students to get below average scores. Scores of 7 - 8 are common.
But for those who have studied hard and taken the exam to use the results of the university entrance exam for group C, there are still difficult questions to answer. From question 32 onwards, there are many difficult questions that require application, requiring students to have solid knowledge to get points. "For these questions, if you do not study hard, candidates will feel that any answer is reasonable. To choose the answer, candidates must have a very solid grasp of knowledge and understand the main content of the question. There are no tricky questions, so many candidates will get 9 - 10 points," said Ms. Lanh.
According to Ms. Lanh, with the way history exams have been given in recent years, history is no longer a scary subject for students. Those who only choose history for graduation can easily achieve average scores. Students who want to enter university also have the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of history.
However, there are also some bad questions, in that they give inappropriate answers. For example, question 14 (code 310), the question is "Which of the following contents is included in the De Lattre de Tassigny plan of the French colonialists carried out in Vietnam in late 1950", there are 4 answers: granting independence to Myanmar; granting independence to Brunei; exploiting the colony for the first time; trying to develop puppet troops. Of these 4 answers, the correct answer is obviously trying to develop puppet troops, while the other 3 answers are so "obviously" wrong that students can answer them but do not feel... happy.
