NDO - From 2025, there will be changes in calculating high school graduation scores when the rate of using process assessment scores (report card scores) is increased, and all three years of grades 10, 11, and 12 are calculated by weight.

The regulations on high school graduation exams from 2025 issued by the Ministry of Education and Training stipulate that graduation scores include: Scores of exam subjects that candidates take are converted to a 10-point scale; Average scores of high school years; Priority and incentive points (if any).

A notable new point compared to last year is that the Ministry of Education and Training increased the rate of using the average score of the transcript and instead of only using the average score of the grade 12 transcript, the Ministry of Education and Training stipulates using the average score of the transcript of grades 10, 11 and 12 to consider graduation.

Specifically, the process assessment score (report card) and exam results in graduation recognition are used at a ratio of 50-50. The average score of the report card of each year is calculated based on the weight. Previously, the rate of using the process assessment score (report card) was 30%.

Besides, instead of only grade 12 as before, the report card scores of grades 10 and 11 are also used according to weights, grade 10 coefficient 1, grade 11 coefficient 2, grade 12 coefficient 3.

This change, according to the Ministry of Education and Training, aims to promote teaching and learning of high school students.

According to regulations, graduation scores are taken to two decimal places, automatically performed by computer software. The average score of the school years is only calculated based on the school years in which the candidate studied according to the Vietnamese General Education or Continuing Education Program.
