According to Dr. Nguyen Van Chau, General Director of Xuyen A General Hospital, patients need a professional, systematic cancer treatment center with close coordination between many specialties. The center has modern radiotherapy techniques, linear accelerator system...", Dr. Nguyen Van Chau said.
At the ceremony, Xuyen A General Hospital signed a professional cooperation agreement with Cho Ray Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital in the fields of nuclear medicine and cancer; and signed a joint venture agreement with WarBurg Pincus Group (USA). According to Dr. Chau, the cooperation with this group aims to expand the hospital system to Da Nang, Hanoi... and possibly abroad.
Developing a regional network for cancer patient care
At the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Tang Chi Thuong, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, said that the development and expansion of the Xuyen A General Hospital system has contributed to reducing the load on upper-level hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City; creating convenience for patients in the suburbs of Ho Chi Minh City and some provinces, because the hospital develops appropriate technology (treatment costs are not high) and also develops high technology to treat difficult cases.
