Vietnam and China military medical teams jointly examine, treat and provide free medicine to people on the border.

This is an activity chaired by the Military Medical Department (General Department of Logistics and Engineering, Ministry of National Defense ); within the framework of the 9th Vietnam-China Border Defense Friendship Exchange Program, taking place from April 16-17, 2025 in Lang Son province (Vietnam) and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China).

This is also the first time there has been an exchange of delegations in medical examination and treatment activities, carried out in parallel in both Vietnam and China.

On the Vietnamese side, the Military Traditional Medicine Institute was assigned to organize the program and coordinate the sending of a delegation of doctors to China to examine and treat people in the border area of ​​the neighboring country.

The Chinese military medical team participating in this activity are all highly skilled and specialized doctors in many fields, coordinating with the Vietnamese military medical force to visit, examine, consult, and give free medicine to local people.

After being visited, carefully examined and diagnosed by Vietnamese and Chinese military doctors, Mrs. Bui Thi Bich in Dong Dang town, Cao Loc district was moved to send her sincere thanks to the doctors. From this activity, Mrs. Bich felt the solidarity, friendship, goodness and depth between Vietnam and China.

Colonel, Doctor Luu Truong Thanh Hung, Deputy Director of the Military Traditional Medicine Institute, shared: "The Institute has prepared modern equipment and machinery, and sent highly specialized doctors to coordinate with Chinese military doctors to examine people, helping people here have access to the most modern and advanced medical examination and treatment equipment."

This is also an opportunity for the medical forces of the two countries to exchange and learn from each other in their professional work."
