Fire Up is one of the events with its own brand of the Institute of Journalism in particular and the Academy of Journalism and Communication in general, which is anticipated and participated by a large number of students inside and outside the Academy. With a series of events organized before, Fire Up 2023 helps first-year students have an overview of the path they have chosen, giving them more determination to pursue their dreams and passions.

The Fire Up Press - Media Award 2022-2023 was officially launched on October 29, 2022, including 4 categories: Multi-platform press works and products; Media products; Press - media projects; Press - media protecting the Party's ideological foundation.

After nearly a year of launching, the contest has received 350 works, products, and press and media projects. Through two preliminary and final rounds, the jury has selected 16 best works, products, and projects to award prizes. Of which, there are 4 A prizes, 4 B prizes, 4 C prizes, and 4 impressive prizes; the total prize value is up to 136 million VND.

This year's entries have diverse topics in all areas of life, society, and are topical. Among them, there are 31 entries from high school students from specialized and public schools in many localities across the country. This shows the spread of the Lighting Journalism - Media Award to young people, especially students who have a passion and love for journalism - media.

Within the framework of the event, the Organizing Committee awarded scholarships to students with outstanding achievements in the 2022-2023 school year and the 43rd university entrance exam and launched the 2023-2024 Lighting Journalism - Media Award.
