Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai emphasized that My Son Temple Complex is an architectural masterpiece that harmoniously combines indigenous art and Indian cultural influences, creating a unique and valuable cultural heritage of humanity. In recent times, Quang Nam has made efforts to restore the temple towers, preserve and promote the unique intangible cultural values of the Cham people. Many international organizations and domestic and foreign experts have made great contributions to research and conservation work. Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai acknowledged the efforts of the province and Duy Xuyen district, the My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board in preserving and sustainably exploiting the values of cultural heritage. From a relic that was forgotten for a long time due to bombs and bullets of war, My Son has become a bright spot in restoration, embellishment and attracting tourists. The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that the locality should continue to do a good job of preserving and promoting the values of heritage in the face of the challenges of climate change and pressure from tourism development. Localities need to recognize the limitations and obstacles, propose solutions to both preserve and promote the value of the My Son World Cultural Heritage sustainably. Director of the My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board Nguyen Cong Khiet said that 25 years ago, on December 4, 1999, the My Son Temple Complex was recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as a Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This is the pride of the people of the whole country in general, the government and people of Quang Nam province, Duy Xuyen district in particular. These unique cultural values need to be promoted and exploited effectively, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
