The City Social Policy Bank continues to maintain transactions at 218 transaction points in 217 communes, wards, towns and 1 island district with total policy credit capital reaching over VND 4,876 billion as of December 31, 2023, an increase of 19.6% compared to 2022.

Loan capital for poor households and policy beneficiaries has been transferred to 100% of communes, wards, towns and island districts, with an average outstanding loan balance of more than 44.5 million VND/household. Through loan activities, borrowers are guided on how to do business, apply new advances in production, and use capital effectively, creating more jobs for the poor and other policy beneficiaries, creating conditions for intensive farming to increase crop and livestock productivity, etc., contributing to increasing social products. Social policy credit has made an important contribution to effectively implementing the city's policies, goals and tasks on sustainable poverty reduction, new rural construction, focusing on resource development, ensuring social security, political stability, and national defense and security in the city.

Credit programs and capital disbursed through the Bank for Social Policies have helped over 38,000 poor households and other policy beneficiaries to borrow capital with a total amount of over VND 1,792 billion. Of which, over 10,000 poor households, near-poor households, and households that have just escaped poverty have accessed loans; nearly 8,800 customers have borrowed capital to solve employment problems, contributing to attracting and creating jobs for nearly 9,000 workers; nearly 18,000 households have borrowed capital, supported the construction of new and renovation of nearly 34,000 clean water and rural environmental sanitation works; supported capital to cover study expenses for 723 students in difficult circumstances; 309 customers have borrowed capital to buy social housing/build new or renovate and repair houses for living according to Decree 100/2015/ND-CP;...
