Establishment of Deo Ca Research and Training Institute

On the afternoon of September 30, Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport (UTH) and Deo Ca Group held a ceremony to announce the establishment of Deo Ca Research and Training Institute (DCI).

The Institute's objective is to conduct in-depth research activities, receive and transfer new and sustainable technologies in the field of construction works and transport infrastructure in Vietnam; provide high-quality human resources for enterprises and organizations operating in the field of construction works, infrastructure and transport; advise on policies and strategies for the development of materials technology and transport infrastructure in Vietnam.

Ceremony to announce the establishment of Deo Ca Research and Training Institute

Mr. Le Quynh Mai - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Deo Ca Group, Deputy Director of DCI Institute - said: The Institute will invest in and build a key laboratory for the transport industry, in which it will master specific experiments that Vietnam has not yet been able to perform such as: Wind tunnels, earthquakes, large span structures (suspension bridges, cable-stayed bridges), new materials... to serve the Institute's research as well as projects of Deo Ca Group and partners in need.

At the announcement ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Cuong, Director of the Vietnam Road Administration, affirmed that according to the road network development plan approved by the Prime Minister, from now until 2030, the whole country must complete 3,000km of expressways. To do this, 10,000 personnel and workers are needed. The Road Administration highly appreciated the establishment of the Deo Ca Research and Training Institute and emphasized that this unit needs to focus on developing high-quality human resources.

Particularly in the railway sector, the Ministry representative hopes that Deo Ca will continue to research investment and learn from the experience of developing railway systems in other countries, thereby developing the country's railway system and creating conditions to further improve the capacity of domestic enterprises to master science and technology.

Within the framework of the program, Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport in collaboration with Deo Ca Group organized the Seminar "Developing human resources for transport infrastructure".

The representative of the Ministry of Transport emphasized that the demand for human resources in Vietnam's transport infrastructure from now until 2030 and vision to 2045 is very large when a series of North-South expressways are deployed, especially in the southern region.

Experts also expect that Deo Ca Research and Training Institute will be one of the prestigious providers of science and technology services in the field of transportation; strongly promoting scientific research and technology transfer activities in the future. Especially anticipating the trend of building urban railway systems and high-speed railways in Vietnam, new technologies in the field of transportation.
