Amid the scorching heat of July, historical sites in Quang Tri province are always bustling with people from all over the country coming to offer incense in memory of and pay tribute to the heroic martyrs who fought and sacrificed for the Fatherland.
At the same time, with the series of events of the 2024 Peace Festival, visitors will have the opportunity to live and experience the land where once was a land of war and is now "blooming flowers of peace".

Promote night tours
With more than 500 historical relics, Quang Tri is always considered a war museum of Vietnam. Besides, 72 martyrs' cemeteries, with more than 54,000 martyrs' graves on Quang Tri land are forever an immortal epic in the history of the great national defense war of the nation. The dedication and sacrifice of the heroic martyrs are always forever engraved, grateful, and remembered by the people. Therefore, spiritual tourism - returning to the source is considered a key product of Quang Tri tourism.
Mr. Ho Van Hoan, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province, said that Quang Tri is a vivid museum of war history in recent years. To help tourists and locals reminisce about the old battlefield, Quang Tri has built a smart lighting and sound system at national monuments and introduced night tourism products such as: visiting the Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery, visiting Quang Tri Citadel, the two banks of Hien Luong - Ben Hai, releasing flower lanterns on Thach Han River, etc.
According to Mr. Hoan, the night tourism products have initially attracted tourists, helping to increase the length of stay, increase revenue, develop the socio-economy; at the same time contributing to the preservation, exploitation and promotion of the value of historical relics in the province. This is considered a new highlight for Quang Tri tourism.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Tan, Director of the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Quang Tri province, said that the Center has implemented many forms of promoting night tourism products on mass media and social platforms such as Zalo, Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, etc. The Center "markets" night tourism products right at major hotels in the province; enhances promotion, attraction, and calling for investment in tourism development in Quang Tri. The Center advises the Provincial People's Committee to select key destinations for investment and construction with full sound, image, explanation, and professional tour guide systems to services for tourists.
According to Mr. Tan, to make historical relics attractive and appealing to tourists, it is necessary to "breathe life" into the heritage with stories and give tourists unique and memorable experiences, especially to help tourists feel the great value of sacrifice and the wish for peace.
In the coming time, Quang Tri tourism industry will continue to develop and perfect night tours at national historical sites associated with historical stories, recreating historical scenes combined with sound and light to increase the ability to convey emotions, create strong impressions; at the same time, integrate some art performances to serve tourists.
