In recent days, throughout the villages and residential areas of Quang Ninh, the National Great Unity Festival has been bustlingly taking place, in conjunction with the Military-Civilian Cultural Festival. The festival has created a joyful, exciting atmosphere, full of solidarity between the military and the people, true to the meaning of a festival of national unity.

Hai Son Commune (Mong Cai City) is one of three localities selected to organize the National Great Unity Day in residential areas, associated with the National Defense Day in 2024, at the commune level. Therefore, from early morning on the day of the festival, a large number of people in the three villages of Po Hen, Luc Chan and Than Phun, along with regular army forces and militia, gathered at the commune's Cultural - Sports Center to attend.
Within the framework of the festival, the army and people in the commune reviewed the history and 94-year tradition of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day. Along with that, they participated in many cultural, artistic and sports exchange activities, such as pounding rice cakes, dancing, singing, cross-country running to find red addresses, women's football and many other folk games. Everyone was happy and excited to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the festival. Soldier Mai Xuan Hieu (Mong Cai City Military Command) shared: This is the first time I have participated in the festival, I feel very happy and excited. We had the opportunity to chat, share, as well as exchange culture and sports with the people. Thereby contributing to tightening the relationship between the army and the people at the border.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Vu Tuan Anh, Deputy Political Commissar of the Mong Cai City Military Command, on this occasion, the City Military Command also held an inauguration ceremony and handed over the comrade house to the family of soldier Trac Tien Dung, who is working at Regiment 218, Division 361, Air Defense - Air Force. The spacious level 4 house was built and partially completed with the joint contributions of officers and soldiers of the city's military and social mobilization sources with a total amount of 100 million VND. During the construction process, officers and soldiers of the city's military and the commune's militia also participated in helping with over 50 working days.
Having a beautiful, solid new house is a great joy and happiness for the family of soldier Trac Tien Dung. Ms. Pham Thi Be, the family representative, said: My family is very excited when the city's military cares and creates favorable conditions to support the construction of a new house. This gift is very meaningful to my family. Receiving the house on the day of national unity makes us even more emotional.
Not only in the 3 localities where the event was held, the National Great Unity Day associated with the Military-Civilian Cultural Day was organized by the Provincial Military Command in coordination with the Provincial Fatherland Front in all residential areas of the province with many cultural, artistic and sports exchange activities between the people and the military forces in the area. At the same time, a political activity was deployed, and extensive propaganda was carried out among the officers, soldiers of the armed forces and the people of the whole province about the glorious tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army through 80 years of building, fighting and growing. Thereby, strongly arousing patriotism and pride in the tradition of military-civilian solidarity in the struggle, protection and construction of the Fatherland.

Colonel Khuc Thanh Du, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, said: On this occasion, the Provincial Military Command has directed the Military Commands of districts, towns, and cities to closely coordinate with the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the same level in organizing and implementing many activities, especially organizing visits and expressing gratitude to families of policy beneficiaries, veteran revolutionary cadres, and veterans in difficult circumstances; supporting and presenting great solidarity houses; organizing national defense sports competitions; inaugurating comrade houses for soldiers joining the army in 2024... Through these activities, it contributes to further promoting military-civilian solidarity, firmly consolidating the great national solidarity bloc in the province.
