Up to now, the cooperative has 6 products certified to meet OCOP standards, of which 5 products have achieved 3 stars, 1 product has achieved 4 stars. To expand the consumption market, the district supports the cooperative to participate in promoting products at fairs, thereby making agricultural products known to many people, with stable consumption and selling prices, revenue reaching billions of VND/year, bringing high income to farmers. Similarly, Dai Dong commune has more than 40 households making sticky rice cakes, producing hundreds of tons of products each year. Many production facilities have actively built products to participate in the OCOP Program and received 3-star and 4-star OCOP quality certificates. Ms. Kieu Thi Thu Ha - founding member of Bang An establishment said that in order to meet customer tastes, Bang An sticky rice cake establishment constantly improves product quality, diverse and rich designs, combining traditional quintessence and modern appearance. In particular, in recent times, Thach That has organized many fairs and product weeks, creating conditions for establishments that achieve OCOP standards to promote their products to consumers.
According to the Head of the Economic Department of Thach That District, Tran Duc Thanh, the OCOP Program is important in socio-economic development, creating good quality products and services to serve local economic development, contributing to job creation and increasing income for people. Up to now, the whole district has 188 OCOP products reaching 3-4 stars, of which 68 products have reached 3 stars and 120 products have reached 4 stars. Not only supporting the entities to build brands, improve the quality of OCOP products, the district also coordinates with units of the city to regularly organize events, fairs, seminars to connect trade, and display OCOP products. Thereby, enterprises, cooperatives, cooperative groups, and craft village business households in the district have more opportunities to promote and introduce high-quality OCOP products to consumers; sign contracts with enterprises, and bring products to many modern distribution channels.
Although certain results have been achieved, the consumption of OCOP products has not yet met expectations due to the limited number of processed products and small-scale production leading to limited competitiveness. To expand the market for OCOP products, Vice Chairman of Thach That District People's Committee Phung Khac Son said that entities with products after being certified as OCOP need to continue to improve, maintain and enhance product quality; at the same time, invest in upgrading and expanding production scale, diversifying packaging designs in accordance with regulations and consumer tastes; and pay more attention to promoting local OCOP product brands...
In order to diversify trade promotion forms, open new markets, increase opportunities to reach customers, and create economic efficiency for people, Thach That district continues to coordinate with city departments and branches to promote trade promotion activities and diversify consumption channels. Accordingly, in addition to organizing fairs, markets, and weekly sales, relevant units will support entities participating in livestreaming activities to sell agricultural products, specialties, and OCOP products on the TikTok platform and other social networking platforms. From there, local agricultural products and specialties will spread strongly to a large number of consumers, increase product value, increase income for participants, and contribute to economic development and sustainable new rural construction in the locality.
