Currently, Thach Luong commune cooperates with GOC Company to grow chili for export on an area of over 6 hectares, bringing in income many times higher than growing rice.

According to the people, growing chili for export is easy. For chili plants to grow well, it is necessary to ensure adequate watering and good drainage; increase the efficiency of fertilizer use; pay attention to care such as pruning branches and leaves below the branching point so that the chili plants can spread widely and the base is airy; prune branches in dry weather; remove flowers and young fruits at the first branching point... The time from planting to harvest is 6 months. The average income from growing chili for export is from 250 - 300 million VND/ha.

In addition to growing chili for export, Thach Luong commune also converted more than 20 hectares of ineffective rice-growing land to growing high-yield vegetables such as squash, bitter melon for seeds, baby melon, watermelon, and cantaloupe...

In the coming time, along with maintaining the area of growing vegetables, Thach Luong commune will continue to direct and mobilize people to expand the area of growing chili in the area, increase income, and create more jobs for farmers.
