Pursuant to Notice No. 5015/TB-LDTBXH dated November 22, 2023 of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on Lunar New Year and National Day holidays in 2024 for cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees of administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations, socio-political organizations, enterprises and other employers, in Notice No. 52/TB-UBND dated November 28, 2023, the Provincial People's Committee announces the Lunar New Year and National Day holidays in 2024 as follows:
For cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees of administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations, and socio-political organizations, the holiday is arranged as follows: Lunar New Year holiday 2024: from Thursday, February 8, 2024 to Wednesday, February 14, 2024 (ie from December 29, Quy Mao year to January 5, Giap Thin year).
This holiday includes 5 days off for Lunar New Year and 2 days off in lieu of weekly holidays as prescribed in Clause 3, Article 111 of the Labor Code.
For National Day holiday in 2024: from Saturday, August 31, 2024 to Tuesday, September 3, 2024. This holiday includes 2 National Day holidays and 2 weekly days off as prescribed in Clause 3, Article 111 of the Labor Code.
The Provincial People's Committee requires heads of agencies and units to assign, arrange, and organize departments on duty and work reasonably to handle continuous work during the above holidays, ensuring good service to the organization and the people. Units that do not implement a fixed schedule of Saturday and Sunday every week, based on the specific program and plan of the unit to arrange a suitable schedule of holidays.
For employees not subject to the provisions of Clause 1 of this Notice, the employer decides to choose the Lunar New Year and National Day holiday plan in 2024 as follows:
-Lunar New Year holiday time is: Choose 1 day at the end of the year of Quy Mao and 4 days at the beginning of the year of Giap Thin or 2 days at the end of the year of Quy Mao and 3 days at the beginning of the year of Giap Thin or 3 days at the end of the year of Quy Mao and 2 days at the beginning of the year of Giap Thin.
-National Day holiday: Monday, September 2, 2024 and choose 1 of 2 days: Sunday, September 1, 2024 or Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
Employers are responsible for notifying employees of the Lunar New Year and National Day holiday plans in 2024 at least 30 days before implementation; if the weekly day off coincides with the public holidays prescribed in Clause 1, Article 112 of the Labor Code, employees will be entitled to take a compensatory weekly day off on the next working day as prescribed in Clause 3, Article 111 of the Labor Code.
Employers are encouraged to apply the Lunar New Year holiday for employees as prescribed for civil servants, public employees and employees of administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations and socio-political organizations.
