On the afternoon of March 6, under the chairmanship of comrade Dang Quoc Khanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE), the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment held a national online conference to implement the 2024 Land Law.

At the conference, delegates listened to representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment introduce some basic contents and outstanding new points of the 2024 Land Law. Accordingly, the law consists of 16 chapters and 260 articles, an increase of 2 chapters compared to the 2013 Land Law. Of which, 1 chapter on land fund development is added and 1 separate chapter on land recovery, requisition, compensation and resettlement support when the State recovers land.
The Law amends and supplements 180/212 articles of the 2013 Land Law and adds 78 new articles; abolishes 30 articles. With the amended and supplemented contents, the law has concretized the Party's viewpoints and policies in the Resolution of the 13th National Congress, Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated June 16, 2022 of the 13th Party Central Committee on continuing to innovate and perfect institutions and policies, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of land management and use, creating momentum to turn our country into a developed country with high income.

Discussing at the conference, delegates highly appreciated the participation of all levels and sectors in drafting, amending and promulgating the 2024 Land Law. At the same time, they expressed their hope that the relevant sectors will continue to advise on the issuance of circulars and guidelines to bring the law into practice.
Delegates also expressed the determination of the Party Committee and government in directing, operating and effectively implementing the 2024 Land Law, contributing to promoting local socio-economy and national development.

Speaking at the conference, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dang Quoc Khanh emphasized the importance of the 2024 Land Law; at the same time, he said that the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment is urgently consulting on the development of decrees and circulars guiding the implementation of the Law.
The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment expressed his hope that ministries, functional branches and localities would actively participate, immediately implement assigned tasks, and soon put the law into practice to ensure the rights of the State and citizens, meeting the requirements of national development.
