Focus on site clearance to implement the investment project to build the route from the Coastal Road (Km1+00) to Van Bun Intersection, Ly Thai To Street, Do Son District.
(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the morning of February 29, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho inspected the progress of the project to invest in building the road from the Coastal Road (Km1+00) to Van Bun Intersection on Ly Thai To Street (Do Son District). Accompanying him were representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches and localities.

The route is 6.2km long, passing through Minh Duc, Ngoc Xuyen and Van Huong wards (Do Son district). The project will be implemented from 2019 to 2024, with a total investment of nearly 960 billion VND from the city budget. When completed, the project will create an economic - technical - urban corridor axis in the Northwest - Southeast direction connecting Do Son tourist area with the city center and creating conditions for the wards in the West of Do Son district to shift their structure towards urbanization, creating momentum for the development of trade, services, tourism activities and attracting capital from investors in residential land, production, business, tourism services in accordance with the content of the master plan for socio-economic development of Do Son district.

The total area of land clearance for the Project is 16.76 hectares of 341 households and 9 organizations in the 3 wards of Ngoc Xuyen, Van Huong, Minh Duc. Of which, Ngoc Xuyen ward has completed the clearance of the entire related area. Minh Duc ward has completed the payment for 70 households with agricultural land and 01 organization, 47/67 households with residential land received compensation, and has made a record of enforcement for 7 households. In Van Huong ward, 111/138 households have received compensation, 27/138 households have not received money, the district has made a record of enforcement for 10 households. The total volume of land clearance to date has reached 97.12% of the area.

Regarding construction, the Project has completed the construction package of the 110KV transmission line relocation project and is implementing the construction package of the traffic and technical infrastructure project, with the construction volume reaching about 37.55% of the total volume.

After inspecting the field and listening to reports from departments, branches, localities and units; Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho assessed that the progress of site clearance for the Project is currently slower than the requirements set out. According to the plan, the Project implementation time is only 10 months, so the Vice Chairman requested the Project Management Board, contractors and supervision consultants to urgently review the construction progress and clearly define the responsibilities of each unit.
Regarding site clearance, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the Project Management Board to direct contractors to immediately access the handed-over sites, proceed with demolition, and prepare for construction. For locations that have received money but have not yet handed over the sites, there is a plan to support contractors for construction. For 47 households that have not yet handed over the sites, the district is requested to focus on completing all enforcement documents and report to the City People's Committee.
The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested Do Son District to strengthen its management and supervision role during the construction process, limit the impact on the works of surrounding households, and minimize the impact on the living environment of the people. At the same time, he requested Do Son District to pay attention to directing the site clearance work in accordance with legal regulations. The Vice Chairman also noted that the entire land fund on both sides of the road has been cleared, and must be strictly protected, and encroachment must not occur, causing loss of aesthetics.
