Thousands of tourists attend the Spring Writing Opening Ceremony of Giap Thin 2024 at Tuong Long tower, Do Son district

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of February 17 (the 8th day of the Lunar New Year) at Tuong Long tower, the People's Committee of Do Son district solemnly held the Opening Writing Ceremony of the Year of the Dragon 2024 and commended outstanding and exemplary students of the 2023-2024 school year.

The Spring Writing Ceremony at Tuong Long Tower is a practical activity demonstrating the tradition and morality of “remembering the source of water when drinking” and “respecting teachers and valuing education” of the Vietnamese people, and to show the respect of future generations to their ancestors, to arouse national pride and self-esteem, to promote learning and respect for the intelligence of Vietnamese people, etc. Thereby, it propagates, educates and mobilizes the people of Do Son, especially the young generation, to study hard, practice, pass exams and become famous to build a rich and beautiful homeland.

After the Xin But, Ruoc But, An Vi But rituals and the drum performance, the reading of the congratulatory message is the calligraphy performance by Calligrapher Le Thien Ly with the four words Phong - Dieu - Vu - Thuan, which means praying for favorable weather, national peace and people's peace, and at the same time sending a message of hope for a successful new year waiting for Do Son ahead. Next is the opening writing part by the leaders of the city's departments and branches, leaders of Do Son district, students, people and tourists. On this occasion, Do Son district commended 60 students with outstanding achievements in the 2023 - 2024 school year.

This is also an activity to promote the potential of local cultural and spiritual tourism, attract tourists to Do Son, and contribute to socio-economic development.
