Training on dialogue skills to promote gender equality

Accordingly, 120 delegates were informed by reporter Ngo Quang Khanh (Senior Expert of the Department of Legal Policy - Labor Relations, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor) about regulations on gender equality, for the advancement of women applied in labor relations; regimes and policies for female workers are stipulated in the Labor Code, Law on Social Insurance; Law on implementing grassroots democracy and related legal documents. In addition, instructions on procedures and processes of dialogue at the workplace; some dialogue skills and experiences applied in practice. Trade union officials also practiced dialogue skills to promote gender equality, propose policies that are more beneficial for female workers in enterprises.

The training course aims to equip union officials and female workers at the grassroots and higher levels with sufficient qualifications, capacity, and negotiation and dialogue skills to contribute to the implementation of the breakthroughs set out by the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. At the same time, expanding dialogue activities at units employing many female union members and workers, making them a core activity of the Mass Women's Committee, meeting the requirements of women's work in the new situation.
