Capacity building training on gender analysis and gender mainstreaming

Implementing Component Project No. 8 "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children" under the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas in 2024, today, August 26, the Standing Committee of the Women's Union of Quang Tri province organized 2 training courses for 2 groups of subjects.

TOT (training of trainers) class to improve capacity in gender analysis and gender mainstreaming for provincial and district level officials and gender knowledge class and gender mainstreaming for officials in the commune-level political system and prestigious people in the community.

In the TOT class, students are provided with knowledge and skills in gender analysis, gender equality communication, gender mainstreaming, and gender equality promotion planning. These are practical knowledge and skills for gender equality teams of agencies, departments, sectors, and localities.

With the gender knowledge class, gender mainstreaming for officials in the commune-level political system and prestigious people in the community, 140 students were provided with knowledge about gender and gender mainstreaming; prominent gender issues in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; communication on gender equality to create a strong change in awareness and attitude towards implementing issues related to gender equality in the community.

Training courses end on August 27.
