Training on skills and methods of community agricultural extension

BTO-The Provincial Agricultural Extension Center has just coordinated with the National Agricultural Extension Center in the Southern region to organize a TOT training course on "Training in skills and methods of community agricultural extension".

Attending the training were more than 30 delegates who were leaders of professional departments of the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center, Agricultural Technical and Service Centers of Ham Thuan Bac, Ham Thuan Nam districts and Phan Thiet City.

At the training course, trainees were informed and conveyed the goals and tasks of community agricultural extension teams in building new rural areas to officials at all levels, especially the staff of communes meeting new rural standards, advanced new rural areas , grasping the state's policies, the orientation of the agricultural sector on digital transformation; developing and improving knowledge... The purpose is to make agricultural extension work and community agricultural extension teams in the province operate effectively and sustainably. At the same time, consolidate and perfect the grassroots agricultural extension system according to the community agricultural extension team model suitable to the practical conditions of the locality; create conditions for community agricultural extension teams to operate effectively, meet the needs of farmers, and become the main force of the agricultural sector at the grassroots level.

According to the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center, the community agricultural extension team model is a new direction to connect the agricultural extension system with the business community, socio-political and professional organizations to better support people in applying technical advances and useful solutions to production, helping to improve livelihoods, increase income, contributing to building an effective and sustainable agriculture in the direction of ecological agriculture, modern countryside, and civilized farmers. At the same time, it contributes to effectively implementing the national target program on new rural construction in localities.
