The connection between enterprises and farmers in agricultural production is identified as the right direction, helping to improve production efficiency and value for local agricultural products. In recent times, the Farmers' Association of Thanh Hoa province has had many activities connecting farmers with large and small enterprises inside and outside the province, thereby ensuring benefits, enhancing the responsibility of each party, contributing to promoting increasingly closer connections.
People of Hoang Dao commune trust the products of Hoang Dao Clean Agricultural Production and Trade Cooperative, which has initially demonstrated the effectiveness of the link between enterprises and farmers through collective economic organizations.
According to the Provincial Farmers' Association, the province currently has many models of association between enterprises and farmers. Common forms include: enterprises that purchase output products but do not directly participate in the production process, or enterprises that invest and partially participate in the production process and purchase products; or a model considered safe is that enterprises provide seeds, food, medicine, production material costs, etc. In addition, farmers in some localities also lease land to enterprises or work for enterprises on their own land to create close unity in the production, processing and consumption stages. In addition, to limit the "broken burden in the middle of the road" between enterprises and farmers, farmers first need to link together through an organization such as a cooperative, cooperative group, etc. From there, the interests and rights of farmers will be guaranteed and improved, without worrying about the uncertainty of individual households finding their own output and producing on their own. Currently, there are many such models throughout the province, initially bringing about effectiveness.
Since its establishment, the Hoang Dao Clean Agricultural Production and Trade Cooperative, Hoang Dao Commune (Hoang Hoa) has proactively linked with many enterprises, such as: Yen Thanh Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Company (Nghe An), Four Seasons Green Agriculture Joint Stock Company (Hanoi), Hoang Lan Clean Food Company Limited (Hoang Hoa), Hoang Than Ba Thuoc Joint Stock Company (Ba Thuoc) ... to receive support in terms of seeds, product output and initially achieved high efficiency. Originating from the trend of using clean agricultural products of consumers, many production households have switched to using biological products and organic fertilizers to irrigate crops and livestock. With more than 300 members who are good farmers, the Hoang Dao Clean Agricultural Production and Trade Cooperative has supported farmers in the production of EM biological products and organic fertilizer products Tre Xanh AM Hoang Dao. At the same time, it is looking for reputable enterprises to help farmers in particular and the cooperative in general to have their product output consumed.
Director of the Cooperative Le Thi Quyen said: The Cooperative is the focal point to connect with enterprises and is responsible for all terms in the contract with enterprises, so both the Cooperative and participating households must have the obligation to comply with the terms of the signed contract. In which, the Cooperative is responsible for providing agricultural services such as production protection, plant protection, irrigation... at preferential service prices; and farmers are not allowed to sell agricultural products outside when they have not provided the quantity committed to sell to the Cooperative. On the part of the enterprises signing the cooperation agreement, they have also shown their true role and responsibility, in which the enterprises have undertaken well from the stage of providing seeds, agricultural materials to harvest, the enterprises purchase all products at a price higher than the market price, thereby helping farmers feel secure in production. Thanks to such close cooperation, on average, the output of biological products supplied to the market reaches 2,000 liters per year; Organic fertilizer output reached 200 tons, bringing in revenue of more than 1 billion VND, creating income of 6 - 8 million VND/month for cooperative members.
In addition to the above production chain model, the whole province has developed 1,808 sustainable chains. Of which, for key product groups, localities in the province have built more than 1,000 chains, achieving high economic efficiency. To achieve the above results, the Provincial Farmers' Association has proactively signed 41 coordination programs, attracting human resources, knowledge, techniques and materials, creating a "Workers - Farmers - Intellectuals" alliance, contributing to actively supporting farmers in production and life. Associations at all levels have mobilized, gathered and implemented the Project "Bringing enterprises to agriculture, farmers and rural areas", opening up many new opportunities for farmers in linking production, preservation, post-harvest processing and product consumption. In addition, the association has coordinated with Farmers' Associations of districts and towns to train farmers in science and technology; Actively and proactively promote, mobilize and guide farmers to apply information technology in agricultural production.
Through coordination programs, from 2018 to present, the Farmers' Association at all levels has coordinated and directly organized 15,448 scientific and technical training courses for more than 1 million officials, members and farmers; directly and coordinated to organize 1,136 vocational training courses for more than 41,000 members and farmers. Guided and supported the construction of 1,817 high-tech production models according to the value chain, in the direction of VietGAP, VietGAHP; organized 14 training courses on food safety for 1,475 participants; supported training and issued certificates according to good agricultural practices, traceability stamps and labels for 26 products of 25 units. At the same time, mobilized and guided the construction of 89 OCOP products, thereby contributing to the results that the whole province had 407 products meeting standards and being granted OCOP certificates. To help farmers improve and expand production and business, the association at all levels has advised and supported the establishment of 752 cooperatives, 133 cooperatives, and 300 enterprises. In the coming time, the Farmers' Association at all levels in the province will continue to promote training activities, transfer of science and technology; support loans with preferential interest rates to help farmers expand their production scale, contributing to maintaining and participating in the formation of new linkage chains.
