Quang Ninh aims to attract 20 million tourists, including 4.5 million international visitors, by 2025.

According to many tourism businesses, with a synchronous and modern transport infrastructure by air, road and sea, along with the diversity and attractiveness of tourism types, natural landscapes and unique culture, Quang Ninh has become an attractive destination for Chinese tourists.

To attract tourists in 2025, the province also plans to develop golf courses according to the planning; build key tourism centers in the localities of Ha Long, Cam Pha, Mong Cai, Uong Bi, Van Don, Co To (Bai Tu Long Bay area). At the same time, the province also innovates and improves the quality and competitiveness of existing tourism products and services to increase spending, revenue and tourism economic efficiency. It is expected that in 2025, Quang Ninh will continue to connect and develop flights through Van Don International Airport, sea tourism routes; develop a smart tourism ecosystem associated with heritage economic development, raising Quang Ninh tourism to become an attractive and complete destination throughout the year.

According to statistics, the total number of tourists to Quang Ninh in the first quarter of 2024 is estimated at 5.4 million, an increase of 11% over the same period in 2023; total revenue is estimated at 10.3 trillion VND, an increase of 20%. During the Lunar New Year 2024 alone, Quang Ninh welcomed over 89,700 tourists.

Taking advantage of the opportunity to welcome visitors during the Lunar New Year 2025, Quang Ninh has planned to organize cultural, sports and artistic events at tourist destinations, in order to create more opportunities for visitors to experience during Tet. Tourism businesses have also improved product quality and prepared conditions to serve customers...

However, to exploit the opportunities of the Tet tourist season, authorities and localities also need to strengthen inspection, examination, supervision, timely detection and strict handling of violations of the law in the tourism sector; prevent illegal tourism and travel businesses, fraud, profiteering, soliciting and pressuring tourists during peak periods; monitor tourism stimulus and promotion programs... In particular, it is necessary to control tourism service prices well, prevent "overcharging", and not let tourists lose confidence in their first trips of the year.
